Psalms 126:1-6 (NIV)
1 When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed.
2 Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
3 The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
4 Restore our fortunes, Lord, like streams in the Negev.
5 Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
6 Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.

Hopeful PRAYER versus Believing PRAYER

Living under a Light Burden linked to Overcoming.

1 John 5:2-4 (NIV)
2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.
3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,
4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Overcomers: “NIKAO” (ne-ka-o) - Conquerors, Victors, Those who Prevail

Not “Abnormally Good” or “Super spiritual” - they are NORMAL Christians

Seven Churches in Revelation 2-3
Ephesus: The one who is Victorious - Right to Eat from the Tree of Life
Smyrna: Not be hurt at all by 2nd death
Pergamum: He will give some of the hidden manna/white stone with new name
Thyatira: Gets authority over the nations…AND the morning star
Sardis: Dressed in White, Name never blotted out of book of life, Jesus will acknowledge their name before God & His angels
Philadelphia: Made a pillar in temple of God, never to leave, three names written on them by Jesus (God, The City of God, Jesus’ new name)
Laodicea: Gets the right to sit with Jesus on His throne

Revelation 12:10-11 (NIV)
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

Satan’s General work for ALL mankind - to steal, kill & destroy
Satan’s Specific Work for Believers – Accusing them day & night

Learning to Overcome Satan by
1) Blood of Lamb
2) Word of Their Testimony
3) Loving not their lives even unto death

This is SPIRTUAL Warfare

Becoming an OVERCOMER

1) DEFENSE = BASIS for overcoming = Blood of the Lamb

Attack Directly to our Consciences (Con = With, Science = Knowledge)

Satan Says - Sin Calls for Accusation
God says - Sin Calls for Blood

The Blood of Jesus cleanses us from ALL sin!

No BOASTING in our goodness or success
No BEMOANING our sins
But only by the BLOOD of Jesus

2) OFFENSE - weapon of attack for overcoming = Word of Our Testimony

FACTS - not FEELINGS

Galatians 4:6-9 (NIV)
6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”
7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods.
9 But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?

Hebrews 10:14 (NIV)
14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

FACTS to be declared:
- Christ is Victorious over the enemy
- He rules and Reigns forever
- God is FOR ME - not against me!

3) No Foothold for Satan - Recognition of old “I” and new “I”

Victors are Victorious IN - and only in/ through - Christ Jesus.

Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

I (old I) have been Crucified with Christ
and I (old I) no longer live - but CHRIST Lives IN ME!
The Life I (new I) live in the body
I (new I) live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me)

Whatever is accomplished through me - is done by Christ In me - HE GETS ALL THE GLORY.

Victorious Christians Living out the Sermon on the Mount:
